Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, confirmed by a tissue/biopsy test, and your cancer has stopped responding to hormone therapy (known as castration-resistant prostate cancer)
- You have complete and reliable medical records available
- You do not have any other primary (original) cancers besides this prostate cancer
- Your blood tests, liver function, kidney function, and heart tests (ECG) are within a basically normal range
- You are aged 18 years or older and under 90 years old, and you are able to carry out some daily activities (your doctor rates your physical ability as 0–3 on a standard scale)
- You are willing and able to attend regular follow-up appointments as required by the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with another type of cancer (other than prostate cancer) within the past 5 years
- Your blood test results are severely abnormal in a way that could put your safety at risk (confirm with trial site)
- You have a serious ongoing health condition that means you could not safely tolerate the treatment being studied
- You currently have an acute (sudden or active) illness, such as an active infection or active bleeding
- You have recently taken part in another clinical trial and have not yet completed the required "washout period" (a waiting time between trials)
- You are unable to tolerate being exposed to full-body heat stress — for example, if you suffer from claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
- You have a known allergy to any of the medicines being used in this trial
- Your doctor has another reason why joining this trial would not be appropriate for you (confirm with trial site)
