Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis affecting the inner side of one knee, rated as moderate to severe (grade 3 or 4 on a standard medical scale)
- People who have had at least 60 months (5 years) of follow-up care after their knee surgery
- People whose medical records, including clinical notes and X-rays, are complete and available

Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had previous injuries to the leg involved in the study
- People who have a history of joint problems caused by trauma, infection, or rheumatoid arthritis
- People who have had previous problems with the kneecap joint (the joint between the kneecap and the thigh bone)
- People who have had injuries to the ligaments of the knee
- People who have a confirmed condition affecting the nerves or muscles, or difficulties with movement and coordination
- People who have a condition causing unusually flexible or loose joints throughout the body (hypermobility syndrome)
- People who have serious health conditions in other organs or body systems that limit their ability to carry out everyday activities
- People who do not wish to take part in the study
