Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are male and over 18 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with high-grade prostate cancer (Gleason score 8–10), confirmed by at least one specialist MRI scan and one prostate biopsy.
- You are able to lie still for an MRI scan.
- You are able and willing to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part.
- Your kidneys are working well enough, shown by a blood test taken within 30 days of the research MRI (confirm with trial site).
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with an active kidney or liver disease (either short-term or long-term).
- You have an active prostate infection, a severe enlarged prostate causing symptoms, or a urinary tract infection.
- You have diabetes or high blood pressure that is not well controlled.
- You have another type of cancer that is currently active (other than prostate cancer).
- You have a pacemaker, cochlear (ear) implant, or any other reason you cannot safely have an MRI scan.
- You have an artificial hip replacement on one or both sides.
- You have other serious medical conditions that could make the study unsafe or difficult to complete (confirm with trial site).
- You have had major surgery within the 4 weeks before joining, or have not yet fully recovered from a recent surgery.
- You have had a prostate biopsy within the 4 weeks before joining, as any remaining inflammation could affect the MRI results.
- You have received or are due to receive another MRI contrast dye within 48 hours before or 24 hours after the study injection.
- The study doctor considers you unsuitable for the trial for clinical reasons.
- You are not able to understand the language in which the patient information is provided.
- You are currently taking part in another clinical trial, or have done so within the past 30 days.
