  • People aged 60 or older who have a serious reduction in blood flow to a limb (called chronic limb threatening ischemia) and are scheduled to have surgery to restore that blood flow, either through a minimally invasive (endovascular) procedure or open bypass surgery.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose treating doctor believes they have a high risk of needing an amputation after surgery.
  • People who do not speak English.
  • People who have been diagnosed with an age-related dementia, such as Alzheimer's Disease.
  • People who are unable to communicate due to severe hearing loss.
  • People with vision problems that cannot be corrected and that would affect the study's assessments or raise safety concerns.
