Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older of any gender
- People who have glaucoma and are currently being followed and treated in the ophthalmology department at Nantes University Hospital in France
- People whose visual field test results show a mean defect (a measure of vision loss across the visual field) greater than 10dB, indicating a significant level of vision loss
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have certain blood vessel problems affecting the retina, such as moderate to severe diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein or artery blockages, or certain types of optic nerve damage not caused by glaucoma
- People who have neurological conditions that affect the visual field, such as stroke-related vision loss, quadrant vision loss, or problems related to the optic chiasm (the area where optic nerves cross in the brain)
- People who have had certain laser treatments to the retina (called pan-retinal photocoagulation) or retinal cerclage (a surgical procedure on the retina)
- People who have a retinal disease that affects vision, such as retinitis pigmentosa
- People who have age-related macular degeneration (AMD) or other conditions affecting the central part of their vision
- People who have significant eye conditions that interfere with retinal imaging, such as active eye inflammation (uveitis) or a dense cataract
- People who are unable to maintain a steady gaze, which is needed to complete visual field testing
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Adults who are under legal guardianship or court-appointed protection
- People whose visual field test results are considered unreliable (where error rates are above 33%)
- People whose specialised eye scans (OCT scans measuring the retinal nerve fibre layer or blood flow) are of too poor a quality to be interpreted
