Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been diagnosed with Giant cell arteritis (this applies to one specific group within the trial)

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a long-term (chronic) infection, such as a viral, fungal, or bacterial infection, including HIV or Hepatitis B or C
• You have had an acute (sudden/short-term) infection and took antibiotics within the last 90 days before joining the trial
• You have had major surgery on your stomach or intestines (digestive system) within the last 5 years
• You have had bleeding in your stomach or intestines within the last 90 days
• You have been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease that has been confirmed by a tissue biopsy (a small sample taken and examined in a lab)
• You have been diagnosed with bulimia or anorexia nervosa (eating disorders)
• Your body mass index (BMI — a measure of body weight relative to height) is 40 or above
• You have taken high-dose probiotic supplements (more than 1 billion live cultures per day) within the last 90 days
• You have diabetes that is not well controlled
• You have been diagnosed with cancer within the last year (confirm with trial site for specific exceptions mentioned in the criteria)
• You have a known problem with alcohol or drug misuse
