Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children and young people aged between 1 and 18 years old (up to but not yet 19 years old)
- People diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), a type of blood cancer, with a significant number of cancer cells found in the bone marrow or blood
- People diagnosed with lymphoblastic lymphoma (LLy), a related cancer of the lymph system, with fewer cancer cells in the bone marrow or blood than the ALL group
- People diagnosed with mixed phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL), a rare type of leukemia that has features of more than one type, whether it is acting more like a leukemia or a lymphoma
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have already received cancer treatment, with the exception of one dose of a medication injected into the spinal fluid, one dose of the chemotherapy drug vincristine, or emergency radiation treatment given to reduce a tumour pressing on a vital organ (previous steroid treatment does not count as an exclusion)
- People who are already known to be ineligible for the related SJALL treatment studies — for example, because they have received a treatment those studies do not allow, there is no suitable SJALL study available for them, or they are already enrolled in a competing trial (confirm with trial site)
- People, or their parent or legal guardian, who are unable or unwilling to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- People who have a major pre-existing condition affecting their health, such as ataxia telangiectasia, Fanconi anemia, or Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (confirm with trial site for other similar conditions)
