Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- Your surgeon has calculated a score called the "BLOODS score" and it is 2 or higher
- A CT or MRI scan strongly suggests or has confirmed advanced cancer of the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or the lining of the abdomen (stage IIIC or IV)
- You are scheduled for an open abdominal surgery to either remove the cancer or explore the area

- You are planned for tumor-removal surgery, which may include other procedures at the same time
Who may not be able to join:
- You have active coronary artery disease (a heart condition affecting blood flow to the heart) — though you may still qualify if a recent heart stress test within 45 days showed normal results (confirm with trial site)
- You have a history of stroke or other blood vessel problems in the brain
- You have a history of heart failure (when the heart cannot pump blood effectively)
- You have high blood pressure that is not well controlled
- You have a history of a lung condition that makes it hard to breathe in or out properly
- You have kidney problems, shown by a specific blood test result above a certain level
- Your blood clotting levels are abnormal (unless you are on a specific blood thinner called coumadin — confirm with trial site)
