Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be 18 years old or older and be scheduled to have surgery to remove part of your small intestine and the beginning of your large intestine (called an ileocecal resection) because of Crohn's disease.
- You must have had a camera examination of your gut (endoscopy) and a body scan done within the last 6 months.
- Your Crohn's disease must be limited to one specific area of the gut (the ileocecal region), affecting no more than 40 cm of the small intestine.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have previously had surgery to remove the ileocecal part of your gut.
- You are not able to understand Danish or another Nordic language.
- You are not able to understand the purpose and details of the trial.
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
