Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are willing to take part in the study
  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You fall into one of the following groups:

Group A:

  • You have a long-term pancreatic condition related to cystic fibrosis or chronic pancreatitis, AND you are 50 years old or older

Group B1:

  • You have a confirmed genetic condition called Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, AND you are over 35, or at least 10 years younger than the youngest family member diagnosed with pancreatic cancer
  • You have a confirmed genetic condition called familial melanoma syndrome, AND you are over 40, or at least 10 years younger than the youngest family member diagnosed with pancreatic cancer
  • You have a confirmed genetic condition called hereditary pancreatitis, AND you are over 40, or it has been at least 20 years since your first episode

Group B2:

  • You have been confirmed to carry a gene fault linked to certain hereditary conditions (such as Lynch syndrome, hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, familial adenomatous polyposis, or Li-Fraumeni syndrome)
  • At least one close family member (first or second degree relative) has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer
  • You are over 50, OR at least 10 years younger than the youngest relative diagnosed with pancreatic cancer — whichever comes first

Group C:

  • You have a family history of pancreatic cancer but no known hereditary genetic condition, AND you are 50 or older, or at least 10 years younger than the youngest affected relative

Who may not be able to join:

  • You would not be able to have surgery to remove a pancreatic tumour if one were found
  • You are unable to attend the required medical imaging scans (such as MRI or CT scans) as scheduled
  • You currently have an incurable cancer
