Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older, of any gender
- People who are enrolled in or covered by a French social security scheme
- People who are fluent in French
- People who are willing to take part in a psychological evaluation lasting between 1.5 and 3.5 hours
- People who have a known history of trauma experienced in childhood before the age of 18 (such as sexual abuse, mistreatment, bullying, natural disasters, or attacks)
- People who have received full information about the study and have given written consent before taking part
Additionally, participants must fit into one of these three specific groups:
- Borderline group: People whose main diagnosis is emotionally unstable (borderline) personality disorder, and who have had at least one psychiatric hospital stay in the last 3 years
- Early psychosis group: People diagnosed as being at risk of developing psychosis (based on a specific assessment called CAARMS), or people who have recently experienced their first episode of psychosis, whether treated in hospital or as an outpatient
- Functional dissociative crises group: People diagnosed with functional dissociative crises (a type of episode that can resemble a seizure) by a specialist epilepsy doctor
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose condition makes it difficult or impossible to take part in the trial or to understand the information given to them
- People who have specific difficulty understanding the questions used in a particular assessment tool (called the SCID-D)
- People whose psychiatric condition requires hospitalisation at the time of the study
- People showing signs of recent alcohol, cannabis, or other substance use that could affect their assessment results
- People currently taking part in another clinical study involving a psychedelic-type medication that can affect dissociation
- People who are pregnant, recently given birth, or currently breastfeeding
- People who are currently deprived of their liberty by a court or administrative decision
- People in a life-threatening emergency situation
- Adults who are under legal protection measures such as guardianship or court-supervised protection
- People who are unable to give their own consent and are not covered by a legal protection measure
