Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 40 or older (men and women)

Who may not be able to join:
- People who have another respiratory condition, such as asthma (now or diagnosed before age 21), bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, or pulmonary eosinophilia
- People who use long-term home oxygen therapy or a home breathing support machine (non-invasive ventilation)
- People who currently smoke
- People with an active cancer diagnosis
- People who have used inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) medications in the 3 months before joining
- People who are already taking part in another clinical trial
- People who are unlikely to be able to complete the full study (as assessed by the trial team)
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have had a flare-up (exacerbation) of their lung condition in the 8 weeks before joining
- People with a primary or secondary immune system deficiency
- People who are on immunosuppressant medications or regular steroid tablets taken by mouth
- People who are allergic to any ingredient in the study medication
- People whom the investigating doctor considers unsuitable for any other reason
