Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are between 18 and 75 years old (any sex)
• You have been diagnosed with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (a specific type of esophageal cancer) that has been confirmed by a tissue or cell sample, and the cancer cannot be surgically removed or has spread to other parts of the body

• You received traditional Chinese medicine anti-cancer treatment within the last 2 weeks, or other anti-cancer treatments (such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or targeted therapy) within the last 4 weeks
• You are still experiencing side effects from a previous cancer treatment that have not fully resolved
• You have taken part in another clinical trial within the last 4 weeks, or are currently in one
• You had major surgery within the last 4 weeks, or are expected to have major surgery during the study
• You are currently taking, or recently stopped taking, certain medications that strongly affect how the body processes drugs (known as CYP3A strong inhibitors or inducers — confirm with trial site)
• You currently have brain (central nervous system) metastases that are uncontrolled or need treatment
• You are at high risk of serious bleeding or have a hole (fistula) in your esophagus
• You have significant digestive system problems that could affect how the study drug is absorbed
• You have active stomach or intestinal ulcers, active gastrointestinal bleeding, or a perforation (a hole in the digestive tract)
• You have had a heart attack, certain heart surgeries, or severe heart failure within the past 12 months, or unstable chest pain (angina) within the past 6 months
• You have had a blood clot, stroke, or similar event within the past 12 months, or you are currently taking blood-thinning medications such as warfarin or heparin
• You have a heart rhythm problem or your heart's electrical activity (QT interval) falls outside the accepted range, or your heart pumping function is below a certain level (confirm with trial site)
• You have fluid build-up around your lungs, heart, pelvis, or abdomen that cannot be controlled and requires repeated draining
• You have current or past interstitial lung disease, immune-related lung inflammation, or other moderate to severe lung conditions affecting breathing
