Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged between 21 and 65 years old
• People who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder
• People who have been experiencing significant and ongoing negative symptoms (such as reduced motivation, emotional flatness, or withdrawal) for the past 6 months, as measured by standard clinical rating scales
• People whose positive symptoms (such as hallucinations or delusions) are not considered clinically significant, based on standard assessment scores
• People whose depression symptoms are not considered clinically significant, based on a standard depression rating scale for schizophrenia
• People who are able to give informed consent to participate

Who may not be able to join:

• People who are currently misusing or dependent on illegal drugs or alcohol
• People who are considered to be at high risk of suicide
• People who have a history of epileptic seizures
• People who have had a severe brain injury or trauma, or who have another neurological condition
• People who have any metal implants in the skull
• People who are pregnant
