Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 75 years old (any gender)
- You have been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer) of the esophagus (food pipe) and received immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy before surgery (and radiation therapy was not part of your treatment plan)
- After surgery, your pathology results showed cancer still present at the original tumor site and/or in nearby lymph nodes, at a specific stage (confirm with trial site)
- Your surgery was intended to completely remove the cancer (a "radical resection")

- You have been diagnosed with another type of cancer within the past 5 years (though some fully cured cancers, such as certain skin cancers, early cervical cancer, or early prostate cancer, may still be allowed — confirm with trial site)
- You have a history of interstitial lung disease (scarring or inflammation of the lungs), or have had lung inflammation in the past that needed steroid treatment
- You have been taking steroid medicines (such as prednisone above a certain dose) or other drugs that suppress the immune system within the 2 weeks before joining the trial
- You have had a severe allergic reaction to chemotherapy drugs (specifically fluorouracil) or to any monoclonal antibody (a type of immunotherapy drug)
- You have an autoimmune disease that is currently active (a condition where the immune system attacks the body's own tissues)
- You currently have active hepatitis (liver infection/inflammation)
- The trial doctors decide there is another reason that makes it unsuitable for you to participate (confirm with trial site)
