For people with narcolepsy:

  • People who have been diagnosed with narcolepsy type 1 or narcolepsy type 2
  • People who experience nightmares at least once a week
  • People aged 18 or older
  • People who can speak, read, and write in English

  • People whose sleep and psychiatric medications have been stable for at least one month, and who are willing to keep those medications unchanged for the whole study

  • People who live in the United States

Who may not be able to join:

For people with narcolepsy:

  • People currently taking part in therapy related to trauma or sleep
  • People who have previously received a structured behavioural treatment for nightmares
  • People with a medical, psychiatric, or cognitive condition that would make it difficult to participate in the treatment
  • People who have moderate to severe sleep apnea that is currently untreated
