Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You have been diagnosed with primary epithelial ovarian cancer (a specific type of ovarian cancer), including cancers of the fallopian tubes or peritoneum (the lining of the abdomen), confirmed by a tissue or fluid sample
  • You have stage III or IV ovarian cancer and are planning to receive chemotherapy before surgery (including if you had a diagnostic procedure or an incomplete surgery)

  • You have normal cognitive function (your thinking and understanding are not impaired)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are under 18 years of age
  • You have a blockage in your bowel (partial or complete) that has been confirmed by a scan
  • You are unable to give informed consent (agree to take part in the study yourself)
  • Your BMI (a measure of body weight relative to height) is below 18
  • You have been assessed by a dietitian as having severe malnutrition
  • You have Type 1 diabetes and use insulin
  • You do not have a CT scan of your abdomen and pelvis taken before treatment, or your scan was taken more than 4–6 weeks before your first chemotherapy session
