Who may not be able to join:
Patient group:
- People who have an active inflammatory joint condition (such as rheumatoid arthritis)
- People who experience widespread pain throughout their body
- People under the age of 40
- People who already have a confirmed diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis at stages 1–4 on the Kellgren and Lawrence scale (a standard medical grading system)
- People who have had a recent knee injury or trauma
- People whose knee symptoms have been present for more than 6 months
- People who have difficulty understanding or completing questionnaires due to cognitive or mental capacity reasons
Control group:
- People who have any knee pain
- People under the age of 40
- People who have difficulty understanding or completing questionnaires due to cognitive or mental capacity reasons
