Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older
- People who have received a confirmed diagnosis of breast cancer and/or a gynaecological cancer (such as cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, or vulvar cancer) for the first time within the past 12 months, at stage I, II, or III
- People who are currently receiving, or are planning to receive, treatment aimed at curing the cancer
- People whose level of emotional distress, as measured by a standard tool called the NCCN Distress Thermometer, falls in the low to moderate range (a score below 8)
- People whose level of depression, as measured by a standard questionnaire called the PHQ-9, falls in the low to moderate range (a score below 15)
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose answers to the PHQ-9 questionnaire suggest there may be an immediate risk of suicidal thoughts (specifically, those who answer "Several days" or "Almost every day" to question 9 of that questionnaire)
- People who have serious ongoing health conditions — such as heart disease, a chronic lung condition, or chronic kidney failure — where the treating doctor or study investigator determines this affects suitability
- People who, based on standard screening questions used in research, show signs of risk relating to psychosis, mania, or alcohol misuse
- People who are unable to attend the program's activities in person at the hospital during the scheduled intervention period
