Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Women between 18 and 75 years of age
  • People diagnosed with advanced-stage ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer (specifically stage IIIB–IV) that is not suitable for a type of upfront surgery called UCS
  • People whose cancer has been confirmed by tissue testing to be a specific type called high-grade serous carcinoma

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose ovarian cancer has spread to distant parts of the body (metastatic disease)
  • People with ovarian cancer types other than high-grade serous, such as low-grade serous, endometrioid, mucinous, clear cell, or non-epithelial ovarian cancer
  • People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who have had another invasive cancer within the past 5 years
  • People who have had a stroke within the past 6 months
  • People with an uncontrolled ongoing illness or a health condition that makes chemotherapy unsafe
  • People whose cancer continued to grow or spread during initial chemotherapy treatment
  • People whose general health and ability to function has declined to a score of 2–4 on the standard ECOG health scale
  • People with serious additional health conditions, reflected by a high score on the ACCI health tool (score of 4 or above)
