Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have a long-term history of claudication (leg pain or cramping during walking caused by poor blood flow)
- People whose claudication limits their ability to exercise, as confirmed by a vascular surgeon through observation during a walking test
- People who have been diagnosed with blocked or narrowed arteries in their legs, confirmed through blood pressure measurements at the ankle compared to the arm, and/or medical imaging
- People whose blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes (if applicable) have been stable and well-managed for at least 6 weeks
Who may not be able to join:
- People who experience leg pain while resting, or who have wounds or tissue damage caused by poor blood flow in the legs (known as advanced stages of peripheral artery disease)
- People who have recently had a sudden, severe loss of blood flow to a leg
- People whose ability to walk is mainly limited by conditions other than leg artery problems, such as joint or muscle problems, nerve conditions, heart disease, or lung disease
