Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with a bleeding stroke (haemorrhagic stroke), confirmed by a CT scan, within 48 hours of when symptoms started (if someone woke up with stroke symptoms, the start time is counted from when they were last known to be well).
- People aged 18 years or older, of any gender.
Who may not be able to join:
- People for whom MRI scanning is not safe, or who are too medically unwell to lie still for a scan (for example, those with a very low level of consciousness or who cannot lie flat).
- People who need to be put under general anaesthesia.
- People aged under 18 years.
- People whose stroke started more than 48 hours before the time of assessment.
