Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis (a condition where the cartilage in the knee breaks down over time)
- People who experience moderate to severe knee pain (rated 4 out of 10 or higher) during physical activity, in one or both knees
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant (confirmed by a urine test) or currently breastfeeding

- People who have any existing or past medical condition that the trial investigators believe could affect their safety during the study (confirm with trial site)

- People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 45 or above (a measure of body weight relative to height)
- People who are currently taking certain medications that strongly affect how the body breaks down drugs (known as enzyme-modifying drugs) (confirm specific medications with trial site)
- People with a history of suicidal thoughts or self-harm behaviour
- People with a history of seizures or a traumatic brain injury
- People with a history of liver or kidney disease
- People with a history of heart or cardiovascular disease
