- You have been diagnosed with esophageal cancer in the local or nearby area (confirmed by a tissue sample/biopsy)

- You have an unstable heart or lung condition, or a heart condition that is causing you symptoms
- You have had a recent bone fracture or sudden muscle or joint injury that would make it unsafe for you to do strength/resistance exercises
- Your current pain level is 7 or higher on a scale of 0 to 10
- You have a muscle disease or inflammatory joint/autoimmune condition that affects how well you can move or function physically (confirm with trial site)
