Who might be able to join this trial:
For the active (prospective) group:
- You have been diagnosed with an Eating Disorder using a standard diagnostic interview
- You are between 12 and 17 years old
- Both you and your parents or guardians are willing to take part and sign a consent form
- Your eating disorder has not improved enough with treatment — either you have been in treatment (including hospital stays) for more than a year without significant improvement, OR you have been admitted to hospital more than three times without your symptoms stabilising
For the comparison (retrospective) group — based on past records:
- You were between 12 and 17 years old at the time of treatment
- You were diagnosed with an Eating Disorder
- You received treatment at Sant Joan de Déu hospital between 2012 and 2022
- Your eating disorder did not improve enough with treatment, based on the same kind of criteria described above
Who may not be able to join:
For the active (prospective) group:
- Your eating disorder is currently in a severe or urgent state that requires immediate medical attention or emergency psychiatric admission
For the comparison (retrospective) group:
- Your past medical records are missing 20% or more of the information needed for the study
