Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are 18 years of age or older (any gender)
• You have been diagnosed with Type 1 Autoimmune Pancreatitis (a condition where the immune system attacks the pancreas) and are considered at high risk of it coming back, based on specific blood test results or the way the disease affects your body (confirm with trial site)
• You have symptoms related to your pancreas or other organs, such as yellowing of the skin, abdominal pain, or back pain — or you have no symptoms but doctors are concerned about serious organ damage developing
• You are able and willing to take medication by mouth and follow all study procedures throughout the trial
• You have signed a dated consent form agreeing to take part
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you have been using contraception for at least one month before joining and agree to continue doing so throughout the study and for a specified period after it ends

Who may not be able to join:

• You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
• You are unable or unwilling to sign the consent form
• You have a history of mental illness
• You have a known allergy to the treatment being studied
• You have been diagnosed with cancer
• You currently have an active infection such as hepatitis or tuberculosis
• You have a serious, hard-to-control health condition such as severe heart failure or breathing failure
• You have taken steroids or immune-suppressing medications for any other illness within the past 3 months
