Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia according to standard psychiatric diagnostic guidelines (DSM-5)

  • People who have a serious or unstable physical illness, or who have a history of brain tumours or epilepsy
  • People who have received a type of brain stimulation treatment (MECT or TMS) in the month before enrolling
  • People who have broken or damaged skin at the area where electrodes would be placed, or who have a known allergy to electrode gel or adhesive
  • People who have metal implants or electronic medical devices in their body, such as a pacemaker, cochlear implant, deep brain stimulator, aneurysm clip, or certain surgical fixation devices
  • People who have taken part in another clinical trial in the month before this trial's start point
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People whom the trial investigators consider unsuitable for the study for any other reason (confirm with trial site)
