Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People whose imaging shows a blood vessel abnormality such as a ruptured aneurysm, arteriovenous malformation (AVM), or Moyamoya disease, or whose bleed is related to a stroke, or who have had a brain bleed within the past year
  • People showing signs that the brain is being pushed or compressed, such as significant midline shift or certain pupil changes
  • People with an irreversible blood clotting disorder, a low platelet count (below 100,000), a clotting measurement (INR) above 1.4, or who have taken blood-thinning medication within 7 days before the brain bleed
  • People who are pregnant or possibly pregnant
  • People who have another serious illness that may affect how their outcomes are measured
  • People who are unlikely to be able to attend follow-up appointments or are expected to have difficulty following the trial requirements
