Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 40 years or older
- People of any gender
- People who have been diagnosed with stage II or III hip joint arthritis (coxarthrosis) or thumb base joint arthritis (rhizoarthrosis), confirmed by X-ray using standard medical classification systems
- People experiencing pain rated at 5 or higher out of 10 on a pain scale
- People who have stopped taking anti-inflammatory medications for at least two weeks before joining the trial
- People who are willing and able to follow the trial requirements
- People who have signed a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People under 40 years of age
- People who have other inflammatory conditions affecting the whole body, such as rheumatoid arthritis
- People with serious or rapidly worsening health conditions
- People who have taken anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medications within the two weeks before joining
- People who have used steroid (corticosteroid) medications within the three months before joining
- People who have taken joint-protective supplements (chondroprotectors) within the six months before joining
- People who have had a joint procedure or joint fluid injection within the six months before joining
- People who have problems with memory or thinking that affect their ability to take part
- People who are currently receiving rehabilitation or physiotherapy treatment
- People who have a known allergy or sensitivity to the treatment being studied
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who are unwilling or unable to follow the trial requirements
- People who have not agreed to sign the consent form
