Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged 75 years or younger, of any sex
• People whose bone marrow test shows more than 5% abnormal lymphocyte cells, or whose bone marrow analysis has confirmed a type of blood cancer called B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (B-ALL)
• People whose cancer cells have tested positive for a specific protein called CD19, confirmed by laboratory testing
• People whom the treating doctor expects to survive for more than 3 months
• People with a physical functioning score of 3 or below on a standard medical scale (meaning they are able to care for themselves at least some of the time) (confirm with trial site)
• People whose liver, kidneys, heart, and lungs are working well enough to meet specific medical thresholds for liver enzymes, bilirubin, kidney filtration rate, heart pumping function, and blood oxygen levels (confirm with trial site for exact values)
• People with sufficient blood cell counts — including lymphocytes, platelets, and haemoglobin — and who have suitable vein access for a blood collection procedure
• People whose MRI scan shows no active cancer cells in the fluid around the brain or spine, no brain tumours, and no leukaemia affecting the central nervous system
• People who are able to have children and who agree to use effective contraception during the trial
• People, or their legal guardian, who are able to understand and sign a written consent form

Who may not be able to join:

• Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant within six months
• People who test positive for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, syphilis, or cytomegalovirus
• People who have a history of another type of cancer (not including certain skin or cervical cancers that were fully treated and show no signs of returning)
• People who have previously received any treatment that targeted the CD19 protein
• People who received a stem cell transplant using their own cells within the past 6 weeks
• People who currently have a bacterial or fungal infection that is not under control
• People who have known allergies to any of the drugs or cell-based components used in the trial
• People who currently have an active autoimmune disease
• People who currently have unstable ulcers or active bleeding in the stomach or digestive system
• People with a mental health or psychological condition that would prevent them from participating in treatment or assessments
• People who have received another experimental drug treatment within the past 3 months
• People who have moderate to severe acute graft-versus-host disease, or widespread chronic graft-versus-host disease (a complication that can occur after certain transplants)
• People whom the trial doctors consider unsuitable for any other reason
