Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are over 70 years of age
• People who have a confirmed breast cancer diagnosis (confirmed through a tissue sample), at any point before joining the study
• People whose overall physical functioning falls within a certain range, from fully active to limited self-care ability (confirm with trial site)
• People whose medical team has decided, through a group specialist discussion, that surgery is not suitable for them, or who have chosen not to have surgery
• People who have a measurable area of breast cancer that can be seen clearly on imaging such as ultrasound, CT, or MRI
• People whose breast tumor can be targeted with a specialised type of radiation treatment called SBRT, as determined by the treating radiation specialist
• People who are receiving or have received drug treatment for their breast cancer before this study (neo-adjuvant systemic therapy) are still able to participate
• People whose tumor size, as seen on a planning CT scan, is suitable for SBRT delivery, as determined by the treating radiation specialist
• People who have more than two tumor areas within the same part of the breast, as long as the total area to be treated is still considered suitable for SBRT by the treating radiation specialist
• People where the total tumor volume does not make up more than 30% of the whole breast volume
• People who have previously had breast cancer treatment to the other breast, or previous treatment to the same breast for a reason other than breast cancer
• People who are able to cooperate with the requirements of the radiation treatment process
• People who are able to understand and sign a written consent form before joining the study

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have already had surgery for their current breast cancer diagnosis
• People who have previously had radiation treatment to the affected breast, whether to the whole breast or part of it
• People who have a medical condition that means radiation treatment is completely unsuitable for them (for example, a condition called Li-Fraumeni syndrome)
• People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial involving an experimental treatment or device, or who have done so within the 4 weeks before the first day of this treatment
• People who are not able to communicate meaningfully with the study team, or who are not able to give informed consent
• People who have other serious medical, mental health, personal, or location-related circumstances that the study team believes could interfere with treatment, follow-up, or safety
