Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are aged 60 years or older
- People who have had a lacunar stroke (a specific type of small stroke) at some point between 3 months and 10 years before the screening appointment, confirmed by brain imaging or clinical records reviewed by a specialist stroke doctor
- People whose stroke left them with no symptoms or no significant disability, based on a standard stroke recovery scale (Modified Rankin Scale score of 0–1)
- People who are currently doing less than 150 minutes per week of moderate to vigorous physical activity
- People who are able to give written consent to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- People with high blood pressure that is not well controlled
- People with a heart condition that the treating doctor considers would make it unsafe to follow an exercise program
- People with epilepsy, whether diagnosed as a primary condition or related to another cause
- People who have prosthetics, implants, or any other device that could interfere with brain activity recording equipment (high-density EEG) or with the exercise activities in the trial
- People with significant cognitive (thinking and memory) difficulties, based on a standard test score (Mini Mental State Examination score of 26 or below at follow-up)
- People who do not have access to internet-based technology, or who have significant difficulty using technology in a way that would affect their ability to follow the trial program
- People with any major physical or psychiatric health condition that the treating doctor believes could prevent them from safely taking part in an exercise program
