Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been transferred to a Rehabilitation Medicine team for recovery and rehabilitation after an illness or injury
- You have had a stroke that has caused muscle weakness, with some level of disability (ranging from minor symptoms to more significant disability)
- OR you have become physically weak or unfit due to a serious illness such as a severe infection, a stay in intensive care, heart failure, falls, or a muscle/joint condition
- OR you are undergoing lung rehabilitation, with or without the need for extra oxygen
- OR you have had a lower leg or upper leg amputation
- You are medically stable at the time of joining the trial
- You are able to understand the consent form in English (or a translated version), OR you have a family member or legal representative who can understand it and give consent on your behalf
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a pacemaker or an implantable defibrillator fitted inside your body
- You have any other medical device or surgical implant that could interfere with a body composition measurement called BIA (confirm with trial site)
- Your body fluid levels are considered abnormal — either too high or too low — at the time of your screening appointment
- You are unable to sit or lie still for 2 minutes due to a cognitive (thinking or memory) difficulty or a physical difficulty, as this is needed for the BIA measurement
