- You have been diagnosed with dementia or mild cognitive impairment (MCI)

- You are unable to have an MRI scan (for example, due to having certain metal implants or a pacemaker — confirm with trial site)
- You have an intellectual disability or a mental developmental condition
- You are unwilling to have a blood sample taken
- You are unwilling to sign the consent form agreeing to take part in the trial
