Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with breast cancer through a tissue or cell sample, where the cancer has either spread to nearby areas and cannot be surgically removed or treated with intensive radiation, or has spread to other parts of the body and is not suitable for intensive treatment.
  • Women aged 18 years or older.
  • Women who are post-menopausal, meaning at least one of the following applies: both ovaries have been surgically removed; age 60 or older; between 41 and 60 years old with at least one year since their last period; under 60 years old and currently receiving treatment to suppress ovarian function.
  • People whose cancer tests show it is ER-positive (responds to oestrogen), HER2-negative (a specific protein is not overactive), and has a specific gene change called an ESR1 mutation.
  • People whose cancer has continued to grow or spread after receiving at least one hormone-based treatment, whether taken alone or in combination with other treatments.
  • People who have normal organ function, as determined by the trial doctor.

Who may not be able to join:

  • Women who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • People who have known trouble swallowing or absorbing oral (by mouth) medications, or who have a known allergy to medications or their inactive ingredients.
  • People who have other health conditions that the trial doctor considers would make participation in the study unsuitable (confirm with trial site).
