Who might be able to join this trial:
- You currently have mild-to-moderate eczema (atopic dermatitis) in areas like the inside of your elbows or knees
- You are between 21 and 65 years old (inclusive)
- You can read and understand English and are able to give your consent in English
- You live in Singapore and will not be travelling outside of Singapore during the study
- You are willing and able to follow the study procedures for the full duration of the study
- You do not smoke, including regular cigarettes or e-cigarettes
- You do not drink alcohol regularly or frequently
- You are generally healthy with no existing medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, blood disorders, liver disease, autoimmune conditions, kidney disease, or mental health conditions
- You have no food allergies to the foods being tested in the study
- You are comfortable with needles and do not have a needle phobia
- You are willing to follow the research team's instructions about what moisturisers, cosmetics, or skin creams you use during the study
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently taking part in another research study
- You are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- You have had a known psychiatric (mental health) disorder within the last 3 years
- You have a known serious nutritional deficiency
- You follow a vegetarian or vegan diet (as the study diet includes meat)
- You have made a major change to your diet in the past 12 months
- You have existing dietary restrictions that would make it difficult to follow a full study meal plan
- You regularly take strong medications, whether Western medicine, traditional medicine, or alternative remedies
- You have regularly taken nutritional supplements in the past 12 months, or regularly take oral contraceptive pills or steroid hormones
- You have taken antibiotics in the past 2 months
- You have had a long-term hospital stay or surgery in the 6 months before joining the study
- Your weight has changed by more than 5% in the past month
- You have a history of bleeding disorders or problems with blood clotting
- You have donated more than 500 mL of blood within 4 weeks of joining the study
