Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with their first-ever stroke (either a blockage-type or bleeding-type stroke), confirmed by a CT or MRI scan
- People aged 18 or older
- People whose stroke happened 6 months ago or less
- People who have mild to severe difficulty moving their arm, walking, or with balance, as measured by specific clinical assessments
- People who are physically stable enough to move to a gym area and take part in the planned treatments
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose medical condition is currently unstable
- People with significant behavioural or thinking/memory difficulties that would prevent them from following along with either traditional or robotic rehabilitation (confirm with trial site for specific assessment thresholds)
- People who have significant muscle stiffness or tightness in the affected arm or leg, above a certain level on a standard clinical scale
- People with serious vision problems that cannot be corrected and that would prevent them from using the technology or robotic devices used in the trial
- Women who are pregnant
- People who do not wish to sign the consent form agreeing to take part
