Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with severe alopecia areata (a condition causing significant hair loss) by a skin doctor or qualified skin care provider at some point in your life.
- You are between 12 and 17 years old at the time of joining the registry.
- You are willing to agree to take part in the registry (and a parent or guardian will also need to give their consent).
- You have recently been prescribed a new treatment (one you have never taken before) for your severe alopecia areata as part of your normal medical care — either at the time of joining, or within the 6 months before joining.
- Alternatively, your doctor believes you are a good candidate for one of these treatments but you have not yet started or planned to start treatment at the time of joining.
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently taking part in, or planning to take part in, a blinded clinical trial (a study where participants do not know which treatment they are receiving) for any experimental medication.
- You are unwilling or unable to have your standing height measured.
