Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 40 and 65 years old
- You are any gender
- You have been diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis (a type of joint wear-and-tear) with a moderate severity rating (Kellgren-Lawrence score of 2 or 3) confirmed by an X-ray or scan
- If both knees are affected, the more severely affected knee will be the one used in the study
- You have had knee pain and difficulty with everyday movement for at least three months, diagnosed according to standard medical guidelines
- Your pain level at rest measures at least 40 out of 100 on a pain scale
- You are able to understand the study requirements and follow the schedule of visits and procedures
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had previous surgery on your knee or a broken bone in your lower leg or foot
- You have a chronic inflammatory condition such as rheumatoid arthritis
- You have any neurological (nervous system) disorders
- You have moderate to significant swelling inside the knee joint
- Your knee appears hot or red
- You have signs of internal knee damage (such as ligament or cartilage injury) (confirm with trial site)
- You are pregnant
- Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is over 35
- You are not currently receiving physical therapy treatment for your knee osteoarthritis
- You have cognitive (thinking or memory) difficulties or a hormonal/endocrine disease
- You have had knee joint injections with hyaluronic acid or a knee scope procedure (arthroscopy) in the past 6 months
- You have taken anti-inflammatory pain medications (such as ibuprofen) within one week before your screening visit
- You have any other bone or joint condition that could interfere with the study results
- You have regularly used strong pain-relieving or psychotropic medications for one week or more within the past 8 weeks
- You have taken part in another clinical trial in the past 6 months
- You have a congenital (present from birth) musculoskeletal deformity
