Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 2 and 18 years old and have been diagnosed with alopecia areata (a condition that causes hair loss)
- You have been formally diagnosed with alopecia areata following standard medical guidelines
- You have been taking one of the following medications for more than 3 months: tofacitinib, baricitinib, ritlecitinib, abrocitinib, upadacitinib, or ifidancitinib (these are a group of drugs known as JAK inhibitors)
Who may not be able to join:
- You have previously had a hair transplant or hair implant procedure
- You have a different type of hair loss condition other than alopecia areata
- You have another condition that can cause hair loss, such as psoriasis or lichen planus (a skin and hair condition), or similar illnesses
- It is not possible to measure your hair loss using a standard scoring tool (called the SALT score) at the start of the trial or during follow-up visits (confirm with trial site)
- You are currently taking part in another clinical trial
