Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are able to give their informed consent to participate
- People aged 18 years or older
- People who have been diagnosed with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
- People who are able to walk around without help from another person or a mobility aid

Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant
- People who are on complete bed rest
- People who are unable to give consent or cooperate with the study requirements
- People who need more than 4 litres per minute of supplemental oxygen, or who require a breathing support machine (non-invasive ventilation) during the day
- People with an unstable heart rate or blood pressure at rest — specifically a heart rate above 130 beats per minute, or a blood pressure that is too low (below 90 mmHg systolic) or too high (180 mmHg systolic or above)
- People who have metal implants in the chest area, including pacemakers, implantable heart defibrillators (AICDs), or surgical hardware such as plates, screws, rods, or disc replacements
