Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 12 and 75 years old (male or female)
- You have been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis (eczema) using a specific standard set of diagnostic criteria
- Your eczema has lasted at least 1 year (if you are an adult) or at least 6 months (if you are a teenager)
- Your eczema is rated as mild or moderate by a doctor at both your screening visit and your first study visit
- Between 10% and 20% of your body surface area (not counting the scalp) is affected by eczema
- You are willing to take steps to avoid becoming pregnant or fathering a child during the trial, as outlined by the study guidelines
Who may not be able to join:
- Your eczema symptoms are currently getting rapidly worse or improving on their own in an unstable way
- You have a condition that weakens your immune system (such as lymphoma, AIDS, or certain rare immune disorders)
- You have another skin condition (such as psoriasis, severe acne, or widespread scarring) that, in the doctor's opinion, could affect how your eczema is assessed or affect your safety
- You have had an infection in the past 2 weeks that required treatment with antibiotics, antiviral, antifungal, or antiparasitic medicines taken by mouth or injection
- You currently have an active bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infection (such as cold sores, shingles, or chickenpox)
- You have HIV, active hepatitis C, active hepatitis B (above a certain level), or an active syphilis infection
- You have a significant or uncontrolled heart condition (such as unstable chest pain, recent heart attack, heart failure, or uncontrolled high blood pressure)
- You have a serious or uncontrolled condition affecting major organs or body systems (such as the lungs, liver, kidneys, or nervous system) that may affect your safety or the study results
- You have a mental health condition such as anxiety or depression that may affect your ability to follow the study requirements
- You have a history of cancer
- You have any other serious uncontrolled illness that could affect your safety or ability to participate
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- There is any other reason the study doctor believes it would not be safe or appropriate for you to join (confirm with trial site)
