Who might be able to join this trial:

- You must have been diagnosed with a stroke for the first time, affecting only one side of the brain (either caused by a blocked blood vessel or bleeding in the brain)

- You must be able to move your fingers actively to at least a basic level (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- You may not be eligible if you have a history of developmental conditions, neurological disorders, or significant mental health conditions
- You may not be eligible if you have notable difficulties with memory or thinking, as measured by a standard assessment test (confirm with trial site)
- You may not be eligible if you have difficulty performing purposeful movements (a condition called apraxia), as measured by a specific test (confirm with trial site)
- You may not be eligible if you have significant difficulties with attention to one side of your body or surroundings (a condition called neglect), as measured by a specific test (confirm with trial site)
- You may not be eligible if your stroke affected the cerebellum (the lower back part of the brain)
- You may not be eligible if you have a bone or muscle injury that affects your ability to move
- You may not be eligible if you are unable to sit in a chair and carry out exercises for a period of time
- You may not be eligible if you have any medical reasons that prevent you from having an MRI scan
