Who might be able to join this trial:
Group 1 – Crohn's Disease:
- You are 18 years or older and have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease
- AND at least one of the following applies to you:
- You experience gut symptoms such as diarrhea, bloody or loose stools, stomach pain, or symptoms of blockage in the gut
- Your blood or stool test results show signs of inflammation above certain levels (confirm with trial site)
- A camera examination (endoscopy) has shown active disease in your gut
- A scan or ultrasound has shown signs of active disease, such as thickening of the bowel wall
Group 2 – Ulcerative Colitis:
- You are 18 years or older and have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis
- AND at least one of the following applies to you:
- A camera examination (endoscopy) has shown active disease in your gut
- An ultrasound of your gut has shown signs of active disease, such as a thickened bowel wall
- Your blood or stool test results show signs of inflammation above certain levels (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently pregnant
- You are not able to give your own consent to take part in the trial
- You have had surgery related to your bowel condition within the last 5 years
- You have been diagnosed with bowel (colorectal) cancer
