Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 40 years or older.
- People diagnosed with hand osteoarthritis according to a specific set of medical guidelines (the 1990 American College of Rheumatology criteria).
- People whose osteoarthritis affects at least two finger joints (the middle or end knuckle joints), with a certain level of joint damage visible on X-ray (Kellgren-Lawrence stage 2 or higher).
- People who have had symptoms from their hand osteoarthritis within the past 3 months.
- People whose pain in the hand being treated rates at least 40 out of 100 on a pain scale.

Who may not be able to join:
- People with a known allergy to iodinated contrast dye, Lipiodol (a type of medical oil), or poppies.
- People with certain circulation-related conditions affecting blood flow to the hands and feet, such as Raynaud's syndrome, scleroderma, or acrocyanosis.
- People with a known significant narrowing (more than 50%) or blockage of arteries in the arms.
- People with severe artery disease in the legs that has reached a critical stage.
- People with severely reduced kidney function (a specific kidney filtration measurement below 30 ml/min/1.73m²), or who are on dialysis or have had a kidney transplant.
- People with certain inflammatory artery diseases, such as thromboangiitis obliterans (confirm with trial site).
- People who have previously had a clot or tear in the radial artery (a main artery in the wrist/forearm).
- People with a chronic inflammatory joint disease, such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, or gout-related arthritis.
- People with a known overactive thyroid or a large multinodular goitre (a type of thyroid enlargement).
- People with unresolved injuries, bleeding, or chronic bleeding in the hand that started within the past 3 months and may require a procedure to stop the bleeding.
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- People covered by certain specific French public health law protections (Articles L1121-5 to L1121-8) and/or people who do not speak French.
- People who are currently excluded from trials or are already taking part in another interventional clinical trial.
