Who might be able to join this trial:

• Adults aged 18 to 80 years old who have been diagnosed with peripheral artery disease (PAD) — a condition causing leg pain during walking — with a specific test result confirming reduced blood flow to the legs.

• People who are willing and able to sign a consent form and follow the study procedures.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who are unable or unwilling to sign a consent form or provide a blood sample.
• People with a serious illness that doctors expect may result in death within two years.
• People with an active cancer diagnosis that is not considered cured (basal cell skin cancer is an exception). Cancer is generally considered cured if there has been no sign of it returning in the past five years.
• People with high blood pressure that is not well controlled by treatment.
• People with a very severe form of heart failure, classified as New York Heart Association Class IV (confirm with trial site).
• People with active liver disease or poor liver function.
• People with active kidney disease or poor kidney function.
• People with a history of bleeding stroke or another major bleeding condition.
• People with a white blood cell count at or above a certain high level detected in a blood test (confirm with trial site).
• People with an active infection currently being treated with antibiotic or antiviral medicines.
• People with HIV/AIDS.
• People currently taking oral steroid medicines (such as prednisone) or other medicines that suppress the immune system (such as methotrexate).
