Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children and young people aged 6 years old up to (but not including) 18 years old
- A parent or legal guardian who is able to understand and is willing to sign the consent forms on the child's behalf
- People who have been diagnosed by a doctor with atopic dermatitis (eczema) using a recognised international standard, and have had the condition for more than six months
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are allergic to berries, mulberries, figs, or similar fruits or their chemical or biological components
- People who have an immune system disorder, whether present from birth or developed later in life
- People who have immune-related conditions beyond allergies, asthma, or hay fever — including cancers, rheumatic diseases, lupus, chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, kidney disease, diabetes, or a missing or non-functioning spleen
- People who have another illness or a mental health condition that would make it difficult to follow the trial plan
- People who have Short Bowel Syndrome (a condition where the bowel does not absorb nutrients properly)
- People who have taken antibiotic tablets or antibiotic injections in the past month
- People who have used immune-modifying medications, biologics, or steroid tablets or injections above a certain dose in the past three months
- People who have had major surgery within the 28 days before the trial starts, or who have not yet fully recovered from a previous surgery or treatment
- People who are currently taking part in another medication trial
- People who currently have a whole-body infection or an unexplained fever of 38°C or higher (measured in the ear)
- People who are pregnant
- Babies who were born prematurely (before 37 weeks of pregnancy)
- People who have a condition present from birth, or a disorder affecting nutrition, metabolism, or skin formation
- People who have been diagnosed with cancer within the past five years
