  • You have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease (CD) that has been confirmed through a camera examination of the gut (endoscopy) and a tissue sample (biopsy).
  • Your recent blood test shows a low level of inflammation (a result called C-reactive protein below 5 mg/dL).
  • Your recent stool test also shows a low level of gut inflammation (fecal calprotectin below 150 microg/g).
  • You experience abdominal (stomach) pain at least once a week.

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your Crohn's disease has not been confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy).
  • You have a known seizure disorder (such as epilepsy).
  • Your symptoms are thought to be caused by another physical (organic) condition.
  • You have a significant problem with vision or hearing.
  • Your symptoms are linked to a known pelvic floor disorder.
  • You are currently using opioid pain medications (such as morphine, codeine, or similar drugs).
  • You are experiencing significant anxiety or depression, measured by a specific questionnaire score above 11 (confirm with trial site).
  • You are unable to understand or speak English, as the virtual reality (VR) program used in this trial is only available in English.
  • You are unable to actively take part in the study for any other reason.
