Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a woman between 18 and 70 years old, with a life expectancy of more than 5 years
- You are generally able to carry out daily activities with little to no limitation (confirm with trial site)
- You have been diagnosed with cancer in the left breast through a tissue biopsy, and have already had either breast-conserving surgery (lumpectomy) or a full mastectomy
- You will be receiving radiation therapy to the breast or chest wall area, possibly including lymph node areas near the collarbone or armpit
- You have not had chemotherapy before surgery, and have not had breast reconstruction surgery
- You do not currently have serious heart disease, a recent heart attack, or heart failure
- You are able to hold your breath for at least 30 seconds after some practice
- You are willing and able to attend follow-up appointments and follow the study plan
- You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- You have cancer affecting both breasts
- Your cancer diagnosis could not be confirmed through a tissue sample
- Your cancer has spread to other parts of the body (distant metastasis)
- You have already had chemotherapy before surgery, or have had breast reconstruction surgery
- You have serious heart problems, including a recent heart attack (within the last 3 months), irregular heartbeat, unstable chest pain, or problems with the sac around the heart
- Your heart function falls into a moderate-to-severe category based on a standard heart health scale (confirm with trial site)
- You have a history of a long-term lung condition such as COPD or scarring of the lung tissue
- You have previously had radiation therapy to the chest/middle area of the body
- You have had, or currently have, another type of cancer — with some exceptions such as certain skin cancers, thyroid cancers, cervical pre-cancers, and non-invasive cancer in the opposite breast (confirm with trial site)
- You need radiation treatment to the lymph nodes located behind the breastbone (internal breast lymph nodes)
