  • People who currently have major depression, or who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia, other psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, or a substance-related disorder within the past 5 years
  • People whose depression rating score (GDS) is 8 or higher at the start of the trial
  • People with significant stroke-related disease, serious infection, cancer, or severe problems with the heart, liver, or kidneys
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who have metal implants or devices in their body, such as a pacemaker or deep brain stimulator, or who have other reasons they cannot safely have TMS (brain stimulation) or MRI scans
  • People who have taken part in another Alzheimer's-related clinical trial within the 6 months before joining this study
